Artist's Statement about this work: Babine is a mini-Aussie-mini-blue healer mix who belongs to my son, Asher. As a watercolor beginner, I couldn't have been more pleased with how this painting turned out and credit its success to intensively studying the subject before ever putting brush to paper.

Artist's Statement about this work: Painting of a classic view in this beautiful State Park, just south of Carmel-on-the-Sea. I love the play of marine blue and violet, and the forest coming right down to the ocean's cliff edge.

Artist's Statement about this work: I love Bear Lake. I used to spend all my summers up there on my Aunt and Uncle's farm in Bern. I recently visited it and plein air painted this small piece early one morning. There was a kind of mist hanging low in the air and it reminded me of the mornings spent moving pipe, and picking raspberries and so many other great memories.
